This teacup and saucer set is inspired by the secrets of a deep and dark summer night. The teacup is carved to resemble a stack of stones, its dark browns and blacks breaking across the surface beneath a shimmery, glittering glaze. A moon and stars light the night sky above.

Lift the cup, and another little world is revealed: a black and yellow striped ribbon snake peering up from the saucer, as though wondering where its rocky shelter has gone. And tucked beneath the cup itself, a pill bug stays tucked into the shadows.

For those who linger late into the night and love to enjoy the secret corners of the natural world.

Teacup measures a little over 3” tall and 3.25” wide at mouth. Holds approximately 6 oz. Each piece is handmade, making each unique and one of a kind. Bottom has maker’s stamp and individual piece number 013-26.

*Every so often, a piece takes a slightly different path than I intended. This mug is considered a second as there is a pinhole and seam in the glaze at the bottom of the teacup.. The piece is still fully functional, although the texture in the bottom means it does need to be washed thoroughly to avoid buildup. I've made it available at a reduced price for someone who will love it all the same.

All glazes are lead free and food safe. Hand-washing recommended. Do not microwave teacup. Saucer is microwave safe.
