A river otter cuts through dark water, framed in gold like a glimpse caught beneath the surface. River stones line the base, fish swim idly by, and fresh water clams glimmer in the depths below. The whole vase has the quality of a river at dusk - deep, still, and full of things moving just out of sight. A vase for the ones who stop at the water’s edge and peer into the depths.

This vase is considered a second due to some crawling on the inside of the vase neck. Vase is still completely vitrified and water tight, so this only a slight visual flaw (and would be unnoticeable with flowers).

Vase measures 4.25” tall and 1.5” at mouth. Otter measures a little under 3” long and .5” wide. Each piece is handmade, making each unique and one of a kind. Bottom has maker’s stamp and individual piece number 11251.

All glazes are lead free and food safe. Hand-washing recommended.
