Foraging Woodcock Crock № 017-26
Foraging Woodcock Crock № 017-26
Two woodcocks work the surface of this lidded jar, bills down and focused, doing what woodcocks do best. The holes in the lid make it functional as a flower brick or garlic crock - but lift the lid and you’ll find what they’re really after. Earthworms line the underside, with one even wriggling as the lid lifts. Woodcocks locate worms entirely by feel, pressing their sensitive and flexible bills into soft earth and sensing movement below. This jar was made for the people who admire earthworms as much as they do woodcocks. Use it for flowers and create a unique habitat for the woodcocks to forage in, store garlic in the off-season, or just keep lifting the lid!
Crock measures a little over 4” wide and 4” tall from base to top of woodcock head. Woodock measures approximately 1.5” long and .75” tall. Each piece is handmade, making each unique and one of a kind. Bottom has maker’s stamp and individual piece number 017-26.
All glazes are lead free and food safe. Hand-washing recommended. Do not microwave.
